| hmm. i'm sure i've said this too many times this summer, but it sure did go by fast. cleaning out my office today kinda made me realize that it's over. wednesday night thing tonight for the kids..then denton in the morning after the dr's office. i'm driving my brother's truck so you'll hear me coming from about 5 miles away...haha!
i've learned alot this summer. most of all that God is faithful despite my unfaithfulness. and that i can be content in any facet of ministry even if i feel unqualified or whatever. as long as i know that i'm serving Him, things seem to fall into place. i started out sort of excited about the summer, decided i couldn't do it anymore about halfway through and here at the end i kind of feel like i'm just now settling in. that's how it goes i think. this has been an awesome experience. :)

this week's theme song is eating my brain. it's been running in a continuous loop in my mind since sunday. aauughh!
other then that, vbs has been awesome! i've had 17 kids both nights so far (plus lots of help from some amazing adults..) teaching 1st and 2nd graders has been a cool experience..i think they're the age i really enjoy working with...which i never would have thought before but yeah.. :) God has been so awesome to provide and work through us despite lacking facilities and preparation. please pray that the weather will cooperate and that the kids will keep coming!

| this summer is flying by...i realized this weekend that i only have about three weeks left on the internship...i really feel like i just got here last week! this has been a very challanging summer for me...however, it's been a good time of growth and refinement...even if i don't found the Best Children's Program In The Whole World Ever®, i am learning what it takes to begin a ministry and to grow one...i seriously underestimated this summer, but God is using that to His glory. because i don't have the creativity, the awesome games, the big numbers or the facilities to "do this right" all the glory for the success of this summer has to go to Him. and He has been so faithful.
